On April 29, 1941, A God sent, anointed, and chosen vessel, Magnolia Hardy was born to the union of the late Elder James and Magnolia Hardy.

Magnolia received a born again relationship with Jesus Christ as a teenager in Aberdeen, MS. Her spiritual birth mark was a “smile” that manifested the love of God to all who meet her. She later moved to Chicago, IL and God led her to strong leadership under the ministries of the late Bishop Charles Little, the late mother Bessie Botto, and the late Bishop Elgin Little. Each one poured into her walk with God as she developed into a powerful woman of God.

While working at Montgomery Wards in Chicago, IL God had a young man by the name of Odell McFarland, Jr. who she didn’t know, working at the same place. As God would divinely order out of all the churches in the Chicago land area, God sent Odell McFarland, Jr. to the same church Magnolia attended. He was saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost after attending that church. They later realized they worked at the same place and were now attending the same church. Two years later they united in Holy Matrimony. For over forty-years they enjoyed their lives together along with their wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. For over thirty-two years she worked faithfully along side her husband as a true pastor, friend, mother, and grandmother.

God gave Magnolia the ability to be in the presence of a multitude and be able to meet each individual need. As a husband words will never be able to express her love for me and my love for her. At the same time her great love would be poured out on her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, friends, and her God’s Harbor family. She was a “Spiritual Magnet” that God used to draw people to her God given wisdom, counsel, sound doctrine, and her genuine love. She would tell you the truth in love
